Our first roundnet event of 2024 kicked off with a bang!

On the February 24th, 2024, the inaugural British Roundnet sanctioned event took place at the Goodwin Sports Centre in Sheffield. 25 teams attended across an open and women's divisions.
In the fiercely contested Open division, the formidable duo of H. Callaway & Q. Hufler who emerged victorious, claiming the coveted first place. Their synergy and precision on the court were ultimately unmatched. A. Macquet & J. Jewitt, secured second after a consistent first outing in 2024.
Rounding out the podium in the Open division were the skilled pair of J. Park & F. Sayyedd, affectionately dubbed Sayts in the Park who pipped TK Touch (T. Newby & K. Kaess)
In the Women's division, the competition was equally fierce . Claiming the top spot were the dominant duo of N. Fatt & U. Ognjenovic, a.k.a 'Fattuna Matata'.
In a closely contested battle for second place B. Dumesny & S. Cooke, known as Bangers and Smash, emerged triumphant.
Taking third place in the Women's division were the talented pair of L. Chan & R. Huang ([SHE] Chan/Huang) after a fantastic third place game against Girl Balls (C. Garcia Rapoport & H. Maroldt).
Thank you to Sheffield University Roundnet for working really hard to put this event on in Collaboration with British Roundnet. The event marked the beginning of a new era for British Roundnet as our sport continues to grow in popularity. See you in Southampton for our next sanctioned event on the 9th March!
